EPHWOR 2019-2020 Program Highlights

Cultural, religious beliefs and practices (forced marriages) especially among the bahima clan, the limited knowledge on SRH services, ignorance of SRHR Rights of women and girls, coupled with the limited means of livelihood, corruption among officials were identified as major hindrances to women optimal access to Reproductive Health Services.

The program has increased the rate of access to reproductive and HIV services compared to previous years. This has been as a result of the following interventions; sensitization for 800 women and girls on Reproductive Health and HIV services available in Health facilities, 02 Outreach activities were conducted to reach out to vulnerable women and girls   to be able access Reproductive Health and HIV services and 04 door to door home drug delivery visits were conducted to PLWHA for follow up of which 02 clients had absconded treatment for 02 weeks due to COVID19 lock down restrictions.
